i just had the most interesting day yest with shermeen! haha it was so weird.. oh boy...

oh anyway, we were at millenia walk bk to s-t-u-d-y(supposedly) but shermeen was late from her timsum lunch with her family.. so she gave me this blue heart-shaped lolli which looked kinda disfigured but still pretty! *thanks dear!* haha

that's not the interesting part u dodo.. ok so we were studying(amidst gossiping occasionally) and then there was this old lady walking up and down and up again and down again... then finally she came up to us and asked us if we have seen her wallet or something... turns out that she was a foreigner from Indonesia and she has lost her wallet in the toilet at BK. so she wanted to searched everyone's bag to see if her wallet is there.. somehow or another shermeen and i ended up helping her!

so we told her and her daughter to go to the police but somehow THEY REFUSED! which makes u wonder why since they are desperate enough to hang around insisting on checking everyone's bag. and they didnt want their family members to know what happened.. and they just HAVE TO use US to cover up for them!! i just dun see the logic 'cos 1) their family members will find out sooner or later, especially so since they claim they had about $3000 in the bag and 2) they well actually the daughter, wanted to go to the police station alone in some foreign land?!?! to put it in an ugly situation, should somethign happen to her, no one's gonna know where she is!

so anyway we hand them over to the security guard since he probably can do more than we can anyway! (makes them sound like some illegal immigrant huh? hand them over!!!) haha.. ok dumb! i know!

oh and after we got back to BK, the manager treated us to DRINKS!!! and he offered us food but being the sweet demure girls, we turned down the offer, although i bet sherm must be think I WANT I WANT I WANT! ;P OH alright i was really referring to myself...

oh and we met cyn afterwards for dinner at NYDC!!!!!!!!!!! yum yum yum! the jedi master mudpie or something like that was REALLY GOOD! and i told them abt the wooks, wooky wooky and the infamous noodles incident.. and then my ice cream dropped onto the table and i picked it up to eat... note to shermeen and cynthia: ice cream does not = noodles... its more yummy and less yikey cos it dropped on the table not the floor!

oh i so need to get down to studying... die die DIE!!!

"One Art"

The art of losing isn't hard to master;
So many things seem filled with the intent
To be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost keys, the hour badlly spent
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owne, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

-Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

-Elizabeth Bishop
