i am officially sick! have been having a sore throat since prom! and nydia's sick too... stupid prom! heh heh... i feel quite horrible now... like there's something stuck up my throat and have a slight flu.... arrrgghhh... have been surviving on strepsils to keep me going....

oh well anyway i've got a tv in my room! since last week actually but i kept forgetting to put it on here... but its not very clear though and i have tht antenna thingy which is quite irritating cos i dun have a tv line in my room so i'll have to make do with it till my mom get someone to fix a line... now i just need a fridge so i can hibernate in my room for the next few months!

did i tell u i look like a monster in the prom pics? no? well now u know! i'm swearing off cosmetics... THEY DO NOT MAKE U LOOK BETTER! i look like a white faced baboon i tell ya... but i think yiwei looks great in the pictures with her make up and dress really sweet... now i shall wait for pat to get her bum down to sg and tech me how to put on makeup before i touch them again... yucks!!

parents are weird... big time.... oh maybe its just my parents... oh well!

"One Art"

The art of losing isn't hard to master;
So many things seem filled with the intent
To be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost keys, the hour badlly spent
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owne, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

-Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

-Elizabeth Bishop
