FRONT PAGE!!!!!!!yep, its official, me and joyce got on to the front page of the Straits' Times together with the other supporters and the Team Singapore's Table Tennis Team!
haha and to think the only way i would imagine myself on the front page of anything will go smth like "Girl, (age), gone missing........"
but yep...
I think its the paper on the 21st March if u guys would want to check it out... my daddy just sent me a scan of it... lol... apparently my aunt saw it and told my mom... haha oh well...

ok i feel that i shd blog about this since im ever so patriotic.... haha no, really.... no...

Singapore won their first medal! hooray! for the Commonwealth games.... YAY!
we beat Aus!!!

it was really fun though..the whole event...started with yest (sunday) where both female and males were playing in the semis for table tennis...
me and joyce had like lousy seats at first... then i chatted up this girl who was Singaporean cos we wanted to ask where she got the Sg flags from... well she didnt have them but somehow we got to know some peeps from the sports council(sg). then they invited us to sit with them at the athletes stand... cool shit... and we got to hang out with Tean Singapore after that...
oh I saw Grace too...from TK...turns out she was there to play netball.... GO TK! and she met the Queen(!) and Delta Goodrem (boo the ice princess)... and im sure a whole lot of cute looking sports people at the Athlete's Village... how cool is that! Awesome... I wanna be at the Village too... oh I did drive past it the other day though.....
Anyway today me and Joyce went for the finals.... we got to sit with the other Singaporeans...the whole group of supporters.... awesome shit too... it was not bad...fun... think this is like the most patriotic we all have ever been...
we were cheering for singapore... waving flags, scarves and oh there's this balloon thingy which u have to clap together to make a lot of noise... and stamping feets... the atmosphere was just awesome even though there werent many of us there...
and when we won the womens (against the aussie team no less), everyone just jumped out of their seats and screamed our lungs out... it was esctatic.... we didnt care if there were only 2 half filled rows of us against the entire stadium of aussie supporters, we justcheered and cheered somemore... i guess this is wat it feels like, as im learning in my Sports, Entertainment and Media class... the transcendence of self, the transition of time and world when one enters the sporting world. the idea od nationalism in sports above all else. the unity we share, with the players, and even the supporters we've only just met.
we lost the mens... to india... but it didnt matter... our lads did a fabulous job... the best team won... we were the underdogs going into the game anyway, we only had one player who was ranked higher than the indians... but we managed to win the first 2 matches... albeit we lost the next 3.... but well they were really good...
so yeah...all in all... fantastic 2 days.... we took pics with the team..will post them up once i get them all....

i was about to start this post in a happy mood until I saw pics of paris hilton driving MY DREAM CAR!!!! she's got my fucking MERCEDES-BENZ SLR MCLAREN!!!! i fucking hate her now! i want to KILL HER! that car epitomise elegance, class, sophistication combine with speed, adrenaline, power and beauty..... EVERYTHING THAT THAT BITCH IS NOT! she's a freaking skank! how did she even get that car! she is NOT ALLOWED anywhere near that gorgeous car!

ok on a happier note...
the big day had come and gone.... it had been fun! Thanks to everyone who celebrated with me! I had a great time... it was the company more than anything which made it a blast... I'll post more abt it later...
but now...
Commonwealth Games...
so it has officially started... everyone's all hype up... the opening ceremony was pretty decent... was at Federation Square with Joyce watching the opening on the big screen... scores of ppl... loads more lining up the Yarra River where the Queen's Baton was passed along. Magnificent fireworks which reminded me of the Quidditch World Cup in Harry Potter's Goblet of Fire. Awesome. Had some ppl cheering for Singapore when the team came out... not too bad I guess... was afraid there would be none....

Steff, Yolanda & i met for breakfast yesterday :)
gosh.. i miss them! we first met in tk mmm...7yrs ago! time really flies!
Steff's the smartiepants, the eversosweet Toilet Kaki & Laogong (the only "bf" who lasted.. haha). Yolee the labbie/bahkwa (i cant remember why though.. maybe it's cos she's so tanned!!)... the one who always lighted my bunsen burner during chem lab sessions - we used to bitch during chem lab lessons to keep awake! haha... yollee confessed yesterday tt she was worried for me during the chem olevels.. she was worried that i wouldnt be able to light my bunsen burner! hehe.. so sweet :)

so bored... realised i havent blogged for ages... as usual....
updates...
Westlife were in Melbourne.
No I didnt manage to catch them *sniff*
Didnt even know they were here until I picked up a copy of MX. Saw a face that resembled Shane on the front cover and found out they were in Aus on a promo tour and a holiday. Well at least I breathed the same air as they did. :P and now they are in Sydney.. hopefully they will come back for a concert as they mentioned they may later in the year! hooray! I wanna see my sexy Mark and my gorgeous Nicky! but not the ugly and fat Kian! haha

so yeah sch started... bad start to the new term.. I missed first class of the first day of sch.....

worst part was... me and Venetia arranged to meet at 9.45 to walk to class together cos we r taking the same course. BUT turns out, both of us overslept! she called me at 10.10am. so it was too late to get to class... haha... damn this is bad... hopefully this is not gonna happen for the coming weeks...

oh yeah have been having a bout of home sickness... this is the worst i've been ever seen i came here..like right from the beginning...
actually cried the night before my flight...
and no one came to send me off! sniff sniff! stupid rachel... haha! ohow can u oversleep on such an important day! its only 7am in the morning! hahaha! and some people...like the beloved BRENDON didnt even know I LEFT!
