during Sports, Entertainment and Media tutorial today, we were talking about the AFL. for those unfamiliar with aussie past times, that's aussie rules footy for u....

anyway... not sure if i've mentioned b4 but half my class are actually americans n a bunch of aussies n us.... so the aussies were raving on abt their footy while the rest of the class are like "huh?....watever..." and they mentioned tt footy is part of the aussie life n etc n tt once footy season is over, aussies are like in a slump... n there's no other news to read in the papers cept (and i quote)

"shane warne's sex scandal"

*looks ard*

i just had to laugh....

and i did....

out loud....

in class....

*blink blink*

ok i realised tt most ppl wont get wats so amusing (abt footy n shane warne-he's a cricketer and/or a cricket-aussie version of beckham) unless they live on a ulu continent called australia... but well... at least i updated! :D

"One Art"

The art of losing isn't hard to master;
So many things seem filled with the intent
To be lost that their loss is no disaster.

Lose something every day. Accept the fluster
of lost keys, the hour badlly spent
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

Then practice losing farther, losing faster:
places, and names, and where it was you meant
to travel. None of these will bring disaster.

I lost my mother's watch. And look! my last, or
next-to-last, of three loved houses went.
The art of losing isn't hard to master.

I lost two cities, lovely ones. And, vaster,
some realms I owne, two rivers, a continent.
I miss them, but it wasn't a disaster.

-Even losing you (the joking voice, a gesture
I love) I shan't have lied. It's evident
the art of losing's not too hard to master
though it may look like (Write it!) like disaster.

-Elizabeth Bishop
